Allied Universal is seeking a dedicated Security Officer Security Support in Newport, RI to safeguard patients, visitors, and staff within a hospital setting. This full-time role requires patrolling facilities, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a calm, professional presence to deter incidents.

You'll monitor access points, enforce site policies, and document events, while delivering compassionate customer service and teamwork in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Security Support in Newport, RI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Healthcare Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide compassionate customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to evolving situations with integrity, and support a caring environment through teamwork, reliability, and an agile approach.
