Allied Universal, Wakefield, RI, is seeking a part-time Security Officer Hospital Protective Services to safeguard patients, staff and visitors across healthcare locations. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond calmly to emergencies, delivering courteous service while upholding location policies.

Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding grounds to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures in accordance with location policies.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Job Schedule:

Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM; Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM; Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
