Allied Universal in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to patrol a hospital campus on weekends and provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. As an unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You may support hospital operations by assisting with access control, responding to security-related concerns, and helping manage challenging situations with professionalism. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.24 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as needed, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and follow-up needs to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
