Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Hospital Care Area Patrol in Baltimore, MD. You will monitor and safeguard patients, visitors, and staff at a healthcare location, while maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents and provide exceptional customer service.

This full-time role requires at least two years of security experience, the ability to pass background and drug screenings, and adherence to hospital vaccination requirements.

Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations calmly and professionally following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to identify hazards or policy concerns.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry points and verifying authorized access.
• Document incidents and patrol activities accurately and communicate to site leadership and responders.

As a Security Officer Hospital Care Area Patrol in Baltimore, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service, and communicate security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access as directed, and providing directions or information to visitors.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
