Job summary

Allied Universal in Eureka, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol to monitor and safeguard healthcare facilities. You’ll provide a visible presence, assist with directions, and support patient, visitor, and staff safety while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following site procedures and access-control protocols.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and notify hospital personnel or responders.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with facility policies and maintain a professional presence.
• Complete activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications per procedures.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate hospital personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with facility policies, assisting with directions and maintaining a professional presence in patient‑care environments.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
