Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer – Hospital Patrol in Arcadia, CA. This role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform to increase earnings while providing reliable hours and a path toward a full-time schedule.

Responsibilities include patient and visitor assistance, response to emergencies, and on-site patrols in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card/license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner; notify hospital personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of hospital buildings and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with directions and escorts; report suspicious activity.
• Complete accurate incident reports and logs as required.

As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol in Arcadia, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate:

$21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate hospital personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as needed, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical‑related field.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card/license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
