Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Part Time Enhanced Security Officer Flex Hospital in Fountain Valley, CA to provide reliable, flexible coverage with anchor shifts and optional additional pickups.

You will protect patients, staff and visitors, perform access control, patrol designated areas, and respond to incidents with professionalism in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with hospital personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, directions, and adherence to facility policies while maintaining a professional and compassionate presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and completed patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Flex Hospital in Fountain Valley, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
