Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for an overnight patrol role at a hospital location in Memphis, TN. This full-time position focuses on unarmed security, patient and staff safety, and exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible presence on-site.

Responsibilities include conducting patrols, responding to incidents per hospital protocols, managing access points, and documenting reports.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
• Background check and drug screening as required by law.

Pay Rate: $17.91 / Hour

• Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking facilities, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established healthcare location protocols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials as directed, and documenting visitor or contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, communicate observations to appropriate personnel, and support a professional, welcoming environment for all individuals at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in proximity to a morgue.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
