Allied Universal is seeking a Hospital Access Security Officer in Memphis, TN for part-time night shifts. The role offers a flexible schedule via our Claim a Shift platform and the chance to support a caring environment within a healthcare setting.

You will perform patient and visitor support, conduct patrols, control access, document incidents, and respond calmly to emergencies, while meeting vaccination and background check requirements. This role is on-site at a hospital in Memphis.

Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as per laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols in healthcare facilities, parking areas and perimeters to identify hazards and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and follow site procedures while notifying leadership.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and verifying credentials as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident and patrol reports and communicate information to site leadership.

As a Hospital Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas throughout a healthcare location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support a caring environment through professional communication, customer service, and appropriate responses to security-related concerns, including sensitive areas and situations. Pay Rate: $17.91 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials as directed, and documenting visitor or contractor activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
