A valid driver’s license is required, and you will work a daytime schedule with multiple shifts. This full-time role requires meeting hospital vaccination requirements, the ability to restrain individuals, and at least two years in a healthcare-related field.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security procedures and policies.
• Screen individuals entering the location according to visitor access and health screening protocols.
• Monitor entry points and direct patients and visitors to departments and waiting areas.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct patrols and report unusual conditions or access concerns.

As a Security Officer Hospital Entry Screening in Rancho Mirage, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Healthcare Screener, you will welcome patients, visitors, and staff, support access screening procedures, and provide exceptional customer service and communication in a dynamic medical setting. You will maintain a professional, visible presence to help deter security-related incidents while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals entering the healthcare location in accordance with established visitor access, identification, and health screening protocols.
• Monitor entry points and assist with directing patients and visitors to appropriate departments, waiting areas, and resources.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or access concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
