Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for hospital entry screening in Rancho Mirage, CA. The role ensures safety by screening visitors, patients, and staff while enforcing site policies and health protocols.

The position requires vigilance, clear communication, and the ability to respond to incidents promptly. You will patrol facilities, assist in directing people to departments, and support emergency response efforts.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions and is part of the policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals entering the healthcare location in accordance with visitor access, identification, and health screening protocols.
• Monitor entry points and assist with directing patients and visitors to departments, waiting areas, and resources.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or access concerns.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Tue 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals entering the healthcare location in accordance with established visitor access, identification, and health screening protocols.
• Monitor entry points and assist with directing patients and visitors to appropriate departments, waiting areas, and resources.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or access concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.;
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
