Responsibilities

• Screen patients, visitors, and contractors entering the healthcare location per access procedures.
• Verify identification, issue visitor credentials, and direct individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and report observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of entrances, waiting areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized access and report anomalies.

As a Security Officer Hospital Intake in Rancho Mirage, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

DayTimeWed07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Screen patients, visitors, and/or contractors entering the healthcare location in accordance with established access and visitor‑management procedures.


• Verify identification, review entry requirements, issue visitor credentials when authorized, and direct individuals to appropriate areas of the facility.


• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; promptly communicate observations to appropriate personnel.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, waiting areas, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.


• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.


• Must be willing to work in and around a hospital morgue.


• Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.


• Must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical‑related field.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
