Job summary

Allied Universal in Ventura, CA is seeking a Security Guard Healthcare Center to protect patients, staff, and visitors in a hospital setting. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, and maintain a welcoming environment while delivering professional service.

Ideal candidates bring at least 1 year of security experience, are able to meet hospital vaccination requirements, and can work around a morgue.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate hospital personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access control procedures, and the reporting of unusual activity in accordance with site policies.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site personnel.

What You’ll Do
