Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security-related experience.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Criminal histories reviewed under applicable laws.
• Drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff and contractors while enforcing security procedures.
• Conduct unarmed patrols of clinical areas, public spaces, parking areas and perimeters.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly, following protocols and notifying responders.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and checking credentials as needed.
• Document patrols and incidents clearly and report concerns to leadership.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of clinical areas, public spaces, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, checking credentials as required, and directing visitors to appropriate locations.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and report concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
