Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Emergency Readiness) in Los Angeles, CA. You will monitor areas, patrol, deter incidents, and deliver customer service to tenants and visitors. Join a team focused on agility, reliability, teamwork, and integrity on every shift.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour. Schedule includes evenings and weekends. CPR certification and a guard card are preferred; must have a HS diploma and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and clients per site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct patrols of common areas, access points, parking, and perimeter.
• Monitor access, verify visitor/contractor authorization, maintain records.
• Communicate with property management and emergency responders to maintain a welcoming environment.

Job Schedule:

• Mon 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM


• Tue 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM


• Sat 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM


• Sun 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established protocols.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property common areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.


• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization as required, and maintain accurate activity, incident, and visitor records.


• Communicate professionally with property management, building occupants, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming environment at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• CPR certification is preferred.


• A guard card or license is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
