Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services provider, seeks a Security Officer for a full-time high rise post in Los Angeles, CA. You will greet visitors, monitor access, and support security operations at a commercial property.

The role involves handling phone inquiries, coordinating with tenants and guests, and responding to incidents with composure. Schedule includes Thursday through Sunday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with a pay rate of $21.60 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen will be conducted as a condition of employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property staff at the front desk of a commercial real estate location while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Monitor access to the building by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor records.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls, provide general building information, and communicate professionally with tenants, management, and emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor security-related systems, alarms, cameras, and building communications, reporting unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and incidents according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and assist with emergency response activities as directed.

Pay Rate: $21.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
