• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, entrances, parking facilities, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, assisting with visitor management.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision.

Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Site Monitoring in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will support access control activities, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and use technology to document observations. Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, entrances, parking facilities, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, assisting with visitor management and directing guests to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations according to site protocols.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
