Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Arlington, VA. You will patrol and monitor assigned areas, deter incidents, and support access control while delivering exceptional customer service in a professional environment.

Position is full-time with a 19.50 USD/hour pay rate. You will work a daytime schedule across weekdays with additional evening shifts as required, contributing to a welcoming and safe place for tenants and employees.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain documentation.
• Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, emergency responders, and leadership regarding observations.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site-specific procedures.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.


• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation.


• Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related observations and site conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.


• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• CPR certification is preferred.


• A guard card or license is preferred.


• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
