Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and employees by following site procedures and access-control protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and report suspicious activity or issues as per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, coordinated manner with site contacts and responders.
• Prepare clear activity reports and maintain professional communication with clients and leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Customer Service Unarmed Patrol in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and report suspicious activity, damaged property, or maintenance-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate notifications with appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and incident documentation, and maintain professional communication with clients, tenants, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
