Allied Universal in Arlington, VA is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Response with an Active DoD Secret Clearance. This full-time role involves monitoring a commercial real estate site, conducting regular patrols, and providing excellent customer service to tenants and visitors.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check according to federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen as per law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local law.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors at a commercial real estate location by following site procedures and emergency protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document activities.
• Prepare clear daily activity reports and maintain professional communication with leadership and site representatives.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, tenant, and contractor activity; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
• Prepare clear, accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and maintain professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
