Allied Universal in Chicago, IL is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time, unarmed patrol role with vehicle checks. The position requires a valid driver's license and involves daytime shifts at a commercial property.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver1 license according to Allied Universal policy.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation as required by law.
• Subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies, including emergency response when needed.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial properties, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site procedures; document observations and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports related to incidents, patrols, and daily activities.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
