Job summary

Allied Universal in Irvine, CA is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Late Evening Shift) to patrol a retail property, assist tenants and visitors, and deter security incidents.

This role requires a year of security experience, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma; driving duties may apply. Pay rate is $22.00/hour with a Wed-Sat schedule from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation as required by law.
• Subject to drug screening where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. Position Type: Full Time / Late Evening Shift

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a retail property.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, parking areas, entrances, loading zones, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, property damage, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
