Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in Buffalo, NY. You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while maintaining a visible security presence.

The role offers a flexible schedule with shifts on weekdays and weekends. A guard card or license is preferred, and applicants must meet basic education and background requirements. Pay rate is $18.63/hour.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, employees, and/or program participants while carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry, and maintain awareness of visitor and delivery activity.
• Respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner following emergency procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and timely communicate to leadership.

Job Schedule:

• Wed 07:00 AM - 01:30 PM
• Thur 07:00 AM - 01:30 PM
• Sat 12:00 AM - 12:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
