Security Officer Patrol Digital Reporting in Camillus, NY

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 11:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Wed 11:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Fri 11:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sat 11:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to help deter theft, unauthorized activity, and other security-related concerns.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, potential hazards, policy violations, and security-related incidents; complete accurate incident reports and daily activity documentation.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, and traffic flow while maintaining a professional presence in a fast-paced retail location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
