Allied Universal® in Sterling, VA is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed Patrol Credential Review) to protect clients across industries, including Food/Beverage. You will patrol, deter incidents, control access, and deliver exceptional customer service at a food and beverage location.

Position type: Full Time. Pay rate: $16.00 / Hour. Schedule includes Day and Night shifts across several days. We value teamwork, integrity, and a caring culture.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors and employees by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, entrances, and loading/receiving areas.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Observe conditions around production, storage and shipping areas and report hazards to supervision.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Credential Review in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service. You will use computer or tablet systems to document observations and communicate with site personnel. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, entrances, and loading or receiving areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Observe conditions around production, storage, and shipping areas and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
