Allied Universal in San Jose, CA is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed) to patrol and protect a financial institution. You will provide professional customer service, monitor entrances and parking areas, and respond to incidents following site procedures.

Applicants should have at least two years of security experience; CPR/First Aid certification preferred; a guard card or license preferred; must be 18+ (21+ for armed roles) and able to pass background checks and drug screening.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $23.95 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM


• Fri 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM


• Sat 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM


• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.


• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity in accordance with site procedures.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.


• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports while maintaining professional communication with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.


• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.


• Alarm panel experience is preferred.


• CPR certification is preferred.


• A guard card or license is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
