Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Unarmed) in Washington, DC. You will patrol facilities, deter security incidents, monitor access points, and provide outstanding customer service.

Minimum 1 year of security experience, ability to use computers/tablets, and strong communication are essential. Competitive benefits apply. Salary is paid hourly at $21.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Driver's license required for driving positions.

• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents and hazards.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, talent, and vendors at a dynamic media and technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, offices, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, hazards, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
