Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required.
• Drug screen may be required per law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and follow site procedures, contacting emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain logs and communications with supervision and property management.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Systems in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and communications with Allied Universal supervision and property management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
