Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.

• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by following site procedures and access-control practices.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and document observations.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of office building interiors, exteriors, and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; report maintenance issues and security concerns per site procedures.
• Assist with directions and inquiries, maintaining a welcoming environment at the property.

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Verification in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and assist tenants, visitors, and employees with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and use technology to document security-related activity. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial office building interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, loading docks, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and building conditions; report maintenance concerns, hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Support a professional, welcoming environment while assisting with directions, tenant and visitor inquiries, and other security-related needs at the property.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
