Allied Universal in Aldie, VA seeks a full-time unarmed Security Officer for patrol and customer relations at a dynamic school site.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with school district procedures, providing directions and reporting unauthorized access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with school staff and emergency responders as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions accurately in required reports and logs.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

• Mon 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Tue 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
