Job summary

Allied Universal in Herndon, VA is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Computer Reporting to safeguard a tech/telecom location. You will monitor areas, deter incidents, and use tablet tools to document daily activity.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a corporate technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter, reporting unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Computer Reporting in Herndon, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control and badge processes, and deliver exceptional customer service. Using computer or tablet tools, you will communicate clearly, respond professionally, and contribute to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.
