Allied Universal is hiring for a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Loss Prevention Patrol in Tampa, FL. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and a background check will be conducted in accordance with laws. This is a full-time position with a daytime schedule and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a state, county, or city-issued security-related license (preferred).
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Age requirement: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per laws; drug screening as permitted.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail areas, storefronts, walkways, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, property concerns, and policy violations with accurate incident reports.
• Assist with access control, traffic and parking concerns, and customer inquiries while maintaining professionalism.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Loss Prevention Patrol in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, storefronts, walkways, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, property concerns, and policy violations, completing accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Assist with access control, traffic and parking-related concerns, and customer inquiries while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
