Allied Universal, Tampa, FL, is seeking a Security Officer - Shopping Mall. You will provide customer service to shoppers and tenants, patrol the property unarmed, monitor access points, and respond to incidents. This full-time role offers daytime shifts and a pay rate of $15.60 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state and local laws.
• Must pass a drug screen as a condition of employment. Licensing requirements may apply.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and vendors while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout the retail property to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or property damage per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and disturbances calmly and professionally; notify emergency responders when appropriate.
• Complete daily activity and incident reports and communicate information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer - Shopping Mallin Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, building perimeters, and exterior grounds, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, property damage, and/or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; request additional assistance and/or notify emergency responders when appropriate.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
