Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer: Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Cupertino, CA. You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and document activities while upholding Allied Universal’s values.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent, and preferred alarm panel and customer service experience. Shifts run night and day on a rotating schedule in a retail/mall setting.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking facilities, building exteriors, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, property damage, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with management and emergency services when appropriate.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Cupertino, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. This driving position offers the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate clearly while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
