Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard (Unarmed) in San Jose, CA, for a full-time patrol role at transportation facilities. You will provide customer service to riders, employees, visitors and contractors, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and report incidents per policy.

The position pays $22.83/hour with evening shifts. A valid driver’s license and high school diploma are required or preferred, along with background checks and CPR certification where applicable.

Pay Rate: $22.83 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Wed 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at transportation facilities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, administrative buildings, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
