Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Driver Patrol Communications in Brandon, FL to protect shoppers, tenants, and staff while patrolling retail areas and ensuring a welcoming environment.

This driving, unarmed role requires a valid driver’s license; you will perform patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and complete incident reports in line with site procedures.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Driver Patrol Communications in Brandon, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven culture.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Fri 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, exterior perimeters, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation accurately and in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
