Job summary

Allied Universal in Tampa, FL is seeking a Security Guard (Full Time, Unarmed) to perform loss prevention patrols and deliver customer service in a retail/mall setting.

You will monitor access, patrol areas, report incidents, and maintain a welcoming environment while coordinating with management and local responders. A high school diploma and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• State/city security license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.

• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Loss Prevention Patrol in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors, tenants, and staff with exceptional customer service. You will communicate observations, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting policy violations, maintenance concerns, and suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site management, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
