Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer for a full-time, unarmed role at a Round Rock data center location. The position is on-site in Round Rock, TX, with a pay rate of $25.21 per hour and a fixed daytime schedule, Monday through Friday.

The role focuses on providing excellent customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and tenants, while patrolling the facility, monitoring access points, and responding to incidents per site

Qualifications

• 1+ year security experience or related field.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ (21+ for armed roles).

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and random unarmed patrols of the facility.
• Monitor access and verify authorization per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify emergency services when needed.
• Document patrols and incidents in logs and reports.

Pay Rate: $25.21 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Tue 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Wed 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate data center location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, perimeter, parking areas, access points, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the property by observing entry and exit activity, verifying authorization as directed by site procedures, and reporting unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and contacting emergency services when appropriate.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately in required reports, logs, and electronic systems.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
