Qualifications

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Badge Accountability in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a commercial real estate setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will work with a reliable, agile team that puts people first, using integrity and innovation to help create a welcoming environment for tenants, visitors, and staff.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and employees while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the commercial property, including building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and contractor arrivals in accordance with site procedures, maintaining accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Support a professional, welcoming environment while helping to deter unauthorized activity and reporting maintenance, access-control, or security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
