Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver Badge Systems at our tech site in Herndon, VA. You will patrol assigned areas, verify credentials, control access, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver Badge Systems in Herndon, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Driving Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. You will use clear communication and sound judgment while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a corporate technology office location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking facilities, loading docks, and the surrounding perimeter, reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit at the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as required.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs while communicating relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or applicable license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
