As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Coordination in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Pay Rate: $17.00 - $18.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, entrances, common areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, following established entry, sign-in, and credential-verification procedures.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Document patrols, incidents, and unusual activity in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
