Job summary

Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking a Security Officer Educational Patrol Assessment to safeguard university campuses and other facilities. You will monitor, deter incidents, respond to concerns, and provide excellent customer service.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a university location, you will patrol buildings, observe activity, and report incidents promptly to campus personnel and leadership. The role offers full-time hours with a daytime-to-evening schedule, competitive hourly

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and follow escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear incident reports and maintain communication with campus personnel and leadership.

As a Security Officer Educational Patrol Assessment in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a university location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. You will respond to concerns, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and deliver exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other campus community members by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with campus personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
