Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Full Time security officer in Memphis, TN. You will monitor access, conduct patrols of the facility, respond calmly to incidents, and prepare detailed reports for site leadership.

Shifts run Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with a pay rate of $19.04 per hour. A HS diploma, background check, and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screening are required by policy.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and document entries, exits, and relevant activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol observations, incidents, maintenance concerns, and other security-related activities; communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
