Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Retail in Calabasas, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled residential community by managing entry procedures, verifying access, and assisting residents and visitors with professionalism. You will remain visible, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor and control access at community entry points by verifying visitor authorization, documenting arrivals and departures, and directing guests according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, gate or access issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and access records in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
