Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Age: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply before employment.
• Driver's license required for driving positions.

As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-control records.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, entrances, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
