Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Reception Services in Milpitas, CA. You will greet visitors, control access, monitor entry points, and deliver professional customer service at a logistics and distribution site.

The position offers a steady 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule, pay rate of $24.00 per hour, and requires at least 6 months of security-related experience plus a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Background checks and drug screening may be required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, drivers, and vendors while enforcing site procedures.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify credentials, issue badges, and log entry/exit records.
• Monitor front-desk activity and access points, communicating security updates to site contacts.
• Respond calmly to incidents and alarms following emergency procedures.
• Complete daily activity reports and logs per site procedures.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and access-control requirements at a logistics and distribution location.
• Greet and screen incoming visitors, verify credentials and appointments, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate entry and departure records.
• Monitor front-desk activity, incoming calls, and designated access points; communicate relevant security-related information to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Complete daily activity reports, visitor logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
