Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Reception Credentialing in Chicago, IL to greet tenants and visitors, manage access, and provide professional customer service at a premier commercial real estate location.

You will monitor lobby activity, respond to incidents, and coordinate with property management, with responsibility to follow site procedures and maintain a secure, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as required by federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors at a commercial real estate front desk by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain records.
• Monitor lobby activity, access points, alarms, cameras, and other security systems; report unusual activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, tenant requests, and critical situations calmly and professionally, escalating as needed.
• Answer calls, provide building information, coordinate with property management and on-site staff, and maintain a professional front desk presence.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors at a commercial real estate front desk by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor records.
• Monitor lobby activity, access points, alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems; report unusual activity or concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, tenant requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel when needed.
• Answer and direct incoming calls, provide building information, coordinate with property management and on-site staff, and maintain a professional front desk presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
