Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for full-time patrol security in New York, NY. You will safeguard clients across government healthcare locations, perform unarmed patrols, and maintain a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other individuals at a government healthcare location by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned buildings, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, staff, and vehicle activity; report unusual conditions, suspicious activity, and security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency personnel.
• Document incidents, patrol observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and designated site contacts.

Pay Rate: $17.87 - $18.87 / Hour

• Mon: 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM
• Fri: 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sat: 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun: 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
