Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring for a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Credential Control in New York, NY. You will monitor and patrol healthcare locations, manage access points, and provide top-notch customer service.

Join a team guided by agility, reliability, and integrity. Pay rate is $18.87 per hour with a full-time schedule Tue–Sat evenings.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• 18 years or older for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public at healthcare sites.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document observations and actions.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident and patrol reports per guidelines.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Wed 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public at a public health location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific procedures, directing visitors to appropriate locations when needed.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and unusual conditions in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
