Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Shift Handover in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and agency personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government social-services location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, common areas, perimeter, and parking locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, property concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while maintaining professional communication with diverse populations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
